Prime Minister Chairs Regular Meeting of Ministerial Committee in Charge of Human Rights

Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay chaired, on Wednesday evening, at the Prime Ministry, a meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of human rights.

During the meeting, presentations were discussed on the follow-up to the executive mechanisms of the National Strategy for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, as well as the national response to the requirements of the roadmap against human trafficking, as well as the level of progress in coordinating the work of national bodies and mechanisms in charge of this field, as well as the level of progress in harmonizing national texts with our country’s international obligations in the field of human rights.

The Prime Minister committed the intervening sectors to further coordinate in order to redouble efforts in the field of promoting human rights and establishing a culture of citizenship and the rule of law in our country, which is a key axis in the program of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.
