President of the Republic, Chairman of the AU arrives in Seoul to Participate in the Korea-Africa Summit

On Sunday evening 2 May, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairman of the African Union, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived in Seoul to participate in the “Korea-Africa Summit 2024”, which will be held on June 4-5 in the city of Ilsan and in the capital Seoul.
His Excellency the President of the Republic was received at the airport by Mr. Oh Ki Woong, Minister of SMEs and Start-ups, Ms. Hyunwon Kim, Director of Protocol for the Middle East, HE. Mr. Sidiya El- Hadj, Ambassador of our country accredited to Seoul, in addition to HE. Mr. Youngan Yoon, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to our country.
Organized under the theme “The Future We Create Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability and Solidarity”, the summit will bring together African heads of state and government, officials of international organizations related to Africa, as well as entrepreneurs in Korea and Africa, with the aim of promoting cooperation and integration between Korea and the African continent.
