Minister of Finance Presents Mauritania’s Multiple Investment Opportunities to Participants in International Conference

The Minister of Finance, Mr. Isselmou Ould Mohamed M’badi, reviewed the multiple possibilities and investment opportunities offered by our country in a speech delivered at the opening of the meeting devoted to the presentation of Mauritania as part of the private sector forum organized by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) on 29 April, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The minister stressed that Mauritania has great potential in various important economic sectors such as agriculture, mines, energy, fisheries, livestock, and tourism.

He added that those various investment opportunities exist in a favorable investment climate, which includes a set of important incentives adopted by the country to create a suitable environment to attract investors, noting that all these measures are added to the atmosphere of security and stability enjoyed by Mauritania.

Ms. Aissata Lam, the Director General of the Agency for Promotion of Investment in Mauritania (APIM), then made a presentation highlighting the characteristics of the investment environment in our country and the opportunities and advantages it offers to investors.

Participants in the forum, which included several ministers of finance and economy from IDB member countries and many investors from different parts of the world, showed great interest in the economic potential and the investment opportunities that our country offers.
