President of the Republic: The Republican School is the Path to Social Justice, Building a Harmonious Society and Comprehensive Economic Development

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, explained that the societal project he is working to establish is based in essence on social justice, cohesion, national unity, the rule of law, institutions and comprehensive sustainable development.

His Excellency added in a speech during the iftar ceremony organized in honor of the students of the families of the social register at the Excellence High School, their educational staff, and their parents, on Monday evening at the presidential palace in Nouakchott, that the responsibility for completing and consolidating the pillars of this community project lies on the shoulders of the students who are the children of tomorrow, pointing out that this community project depends in its various dimensions on our ability to build an educational system that provides all our children, in similar conditions, and with high quality, an effective education, which is what the Republican School aims at.

He said that while waiting for the republican school to be completed, and the uniformity of educational conditions and equal opportunities to become the norm, His Excellency gave instructions to launch an initiative aimed at increasing the opportunities of children of social register families to access the preparatory and secondary schools of excellence, noting that the students covered by this program benefited from grants and remedial lessons, and provided them with all the appropriate school tools and means of supervision.
