Minister Delegate to Foreign Affairs Minister Participates in Conference in Rabat

On 6 February, in Rabat, Mr. Mohamed Yahya Said, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, in charge of Mauritanians Abroad, participated in the high-level ministerial conference on middle-income countries organized by the Kingdom of Morocco in cooperation with the United Nations.

The Minister delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of the conference, considering that it is an opportunity for middle-income countries to discuss ways and means likely to optimize economic potential to assist them in their development efforts, reviewing the obstacles and challenges these countries face and the means to address them.

He added that ”our country has implemented a development strategy covering the period 2016-2030 called ”Strategy for Accelerated Growth and Shared Prosperity”, aimed at achieving rapid, diversified, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth that contributes to reducing poverty and inequalities.

He explained that the salient points of this strategy include, among others, the promotion of strong, sustainable, and inclusive growth, the development of human capital, access to basic services, and the strengthening of governance in all its dimensions, highlighting the importance of the support of international partners and donors for this strategy.
