His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived Thursday morning in the city of Nema, at the beginning of a visit to the state of Hodh Charghi, during which he will supervise the inauguration and laying of the foundation stone for a package of development projects and the launch of the activities of the twelfth edition of the Madayen Heritage Festival in the historic city of Walata.

The President of the Republic was received by the Governor of the Hodh Charghi Islamou Ould Sidi, the President of the Regional Council, Mohamedou Ould Tijani, the Mayor of the Municipality of Nema, Sidi Mohamed Ould Mohamed, alias Jouda, the Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Abdallahi Mohamed Sid Almine, and the deputies of the provinces and mayors of the province.

His Excellency the President of the Republic reviewed units of the armed forces that paid him the salute of honor, before shaking hands with the head of the Insaf Party and a number of heads of majority parties and state executives and notables.

The residents of the state of Hodh Charqi devoted a warm popular reception to His Excellency the President of the Republic, where citizens lined up in queues along the sides of the road taken by the presidential procession, carrying enlarged pictures of His Excellency the President of the Republic and banners appreciating the achievements made during the last four years for the benefit of the state in particular and all regions of the country in general.
