Gambian Foreign Affairs Minister Receives Mauritanian Ambassador’s Credentials

On 23 November, in Banjul, HE Mr. Hamoud Ould Abdi presented to Dr. Mamadou Tangara, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, a copy of his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Republic of The Gambia.

The meeting discussed the relations between the two countries, which are based on the foundations of history, geography, a unified religion, positive cohabitation, and interaction between the people of the two countries.

Moreover,  they discussed ways to strengthen and develop them by working to accelerate and activate cooperation mechanisms to serve the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly people.

Mr. Hamoud Ould Abdi conveyed the greetings of  Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, to his brother and friend, Mr. Adma Barrow, the President of the Republic of The Gambia, and the Gambian people and government.
