President of Republic Receives New South African Ambassador’s Credentials

On 17 October, in Nouakchott, His Excellency, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheilh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received Mr. Pakamisa Augustine Sifuba, who presented him with his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Africa to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Soon after the meeting, the new South African ambassador said he was happy to present his credentials to His Excellency the President of the Republic. He also expressed his country’s aspiration to boost its friendly relations with Mauritania toward promising horizons to strengthen the rapprochement between the two countries and their people.

“We need to work very closely to identify the many opportunities of cooperation and to ensure that as we succeed, we succeed together,” as he put it.
