President of Republic Attends UN General Assembly Opening

On 19 September, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, participated in the opening session of the UN General Assembly in its 78th session, whose work began today in New York, in the presence of numerous heads of state and government, members of the Organization.

The delegation accompanying His Excellency the President of the Republic includes Mr. Mokhtar Ould Djiay, the Minister Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Abdesselam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Sidi Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the Permanent Representative of Mauritania to the United Nations, and Ms. Cisse Beidda, Mauritania’s Ambassador to USA.
