On 15 May, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received a written message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The message was delivered during an audience that His Excellency the President of the Republic granted to HE Mr. Mohammad bin Ayed al-Balawi.
Shortly after the meeting, the Saudi diplomat made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency in which he said he was honored to meet His Excellency the President of the Republic to whom he conveyed greetings and appreciation of his brother, His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and of His Highness Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, President of the Council of Ministers. The Saudi Ambassador said he also conveyed His Majesty and His Highness’ greetings to the Mauritanian government and their wishes for progress and prosperity to the brotherly Mauritanian people.
HE Mr. al-Balawi added: “I also had the honor of presenting His Excellency with an invitation to attend the 32nd session of the Ordinary Arab Summit, and I assured His Excellency the interest of the leaders of the Kingdom in his participation which will constitute an appreciable contribution to the success of the Summit and the achievement of its objectives for the benefit of the Ummah and the Arab people. I also expressed to His Excellency the aspirations of the leaders of the Kingdom to develop Saudi-Mauritanian relations in various fields to achieve the common interests between the two brotherly people”.
His Excellency welcomed the invitation with great pleasure and instructed me to convey his greetings and gratitude to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness the Crown Prince, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia. »
