FORMATION
Holder of a master’s degree in public law from the University of Nouakchott brilliantly acquired in 2004 (Honors) Civil administrator.
PROFESSIONAL CURSUS
Mrs. Zeinebou began her career in basic education in Atar in 1996, then as director of the largest primary school in Tujounine from 1997 to 2004.
During her teaching career she distinguished herself by the excellent quality of the results of the school she directed, which earned her the official congratulations of the regional authorities of national education.
In 2005, Zeinebou began his career at the Ministry of the Interior, within the Directorate for the Promotion of Democracy, in charge of managing the Transitional Electoral Process, as Head of the Political Affairs Department from 2005 to 2006, then as Deputy Director from 2006 to 2007.
During this period, she was involved in the drafting of all the electoral texts developed during the Transition, in addition to the supervision of presidential, legislative and municipal elections.
From 2007 to November 2008, Zeinebou joined the Territorial Administration as the first female Hakem of Moughataa in Tevragh Zeina.
She was among the first Mauritanian women promoted to the position of Wali. From 2008 to 2011 she held the position of Wali of Brakna.
She joined the administration of the Ministry of the Interior and Decentralization from 2011 to 2020 where she successively held the positions of Director of Cooperation, Studies and Programming from 2015 to 2018, then Director General of the Synthesis of Political Affairs and Public Liberties from 2018 to 2020.
From February 2020 to June 2021, Mrs. Zeinebou was appointed Secretary General of the Ministry of Rural Development, she had to brilliantly pilot among other activities the first fair of Livestock Products in Timbedra under the high patronage of the President of the Republic.
From June 2021 to 31 March 2022, she returned to her core business, at the Ministry of the Interior and Decentralization as Secretary General before being appointed Minister Secretary General of the Government on 31 March 2022.
Then Minister of Public Service and Labour since September 26 of the same year.
Minister of Trade and Tourism starting from 06 August 2024.
She was decorated in 2015 with the medal of Knight of National Merit.
In 2020 she was elevated by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani to the rank of Knight of National Recognition.
Her commitment to the Union for the Republic, of which she is currently a member of the National Council, began since the creation of the Party as an active activist, then director of the Party’s implantation campaign, and campaign director of legislative, municipal and regional elections, in Dar Naim in 2018, member of the National Council.
Mrs. Zeinebou had the honor of leading the campaign of the President of the Republic His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani in Tevgragh Zeina.
