President of Republic Supervises Opening of African Summit for Promotion of Peace

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, supervised the launch of the third session of the African Summit for Promotion of Peace, under the theme: “Enter All in Peace!”.

During this event, many workshops will focus on different themes: the diagnostic axis, the geography of conflicts in the African continent, Dialogue and reconciliation: Potential and promises, Clarification of the misused concepts of Islam.

The sessions will also include the role of Islamic education in Africa in the promotion of peace and development, Illegal immigration: A humanistic approach to addressing this human tragedy, Youth and its role in the promotion of peace, and the promotion of peace in the African cultural heritage.

This conference coincides with the declaration of Nouakchott as the capital of culture of the Islamic World for 2023.
