President of Republic from Kaedi: “All Means Have Been Mobilized To Secure our Citizens and Their Property”

On 20 August, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, affirmed that the state had mobilized all civil, military, and logistical capabilities to secure citizens and their property from the negative effects of the torrential rains that the country is currently experiencing.
After touring the neighborhoods affected by rainwater in Kaedi, the President of the Republic said that the first objective of his visit to the city is to sympathize with the citizens, support them, and directly see their conditions after the heavy rains and torrents that the city witnessed. It also seeks to follow up and support efforts to drain water from the main roads and homes in the affected neighborhoods.
He highlighted that one of the objectives of the visit is to make a comprehensive assessment of the losses resulting from this situation and the mobilized means to carry out relief work, to know the various deficiencies, whether financial and logistical so that these deficiencies can be overcome immediately and urgently.
His Excellency made it clear that, since learning of these damages, he has given instructions to mobilize all state agencies to carry out relief work and secure citizens and their property, noting that the tasks were accomplished with high professionalism and efficiency.
