Republic President Receives Credentials from the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received today, Tuesday, at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, the credentials of His Excellency Mr. Imad Saab Saab, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
Following the ceremony to present the credentials, His Excellency the President of the Republic hosted a reception for the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, attended by His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Marzoug, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Marzoug, and the Minister in Charge of the Office of the President of the Republic Mr. El Nani Ould Chrougha.
In a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his pride in presenting his credentials to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
He added that he held positive and cordial talks with His Excellency the President of the Republic and the Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, during which they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
He noted that he conveyed to His Excellency the President of the Republic the greetings of Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, and expressed his country’s appreciation for its relations with Mauritania.
He also expressed the Venezuelan authorities’ thanks and gratitude for Mauritania’s stance, as well as for the condolences and sympathy expressed by the Mauritanian authorities in solidarity with Venezuela following the natural disaster that struck the country in recent months.
His Excellency the Ambassador confirmed that the discussions addressed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in various fields, emphasizing the importance of moving forward with the implementation of agreements signed between the two countries and strengthening existing areas of partnership.
He added that his country looks forward to continuing efforts to advance joint cooperation, thereby strengthening the bonds of friendship and understanding between the two friendly countries and peoples.
