President of Republic Congratulates North Korean Leader on National Day

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent a congratulatory message on Tuesday to His Excellency Mr. Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the occasion of his country’s National Day.

The text of the message is as follows:

“Your Excellency,

On the occasion of your country’s National Day, I am pleased to extend to you my warmest congratulations and to wish the friendly Korean people further progress and prosperity.

I also wish to express our full readiness to work toward developing the existing cooperative relations between the two countries in the interests of our two friendly peoples.
