Mauritania Participates in High-level Meeting on Durban Declaration and Programme of Action

Mauritania, represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperations, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Participated Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in a high-level meeting on the progress accomplished in the implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action (DDPA). The meeting commemorated the 20th anniversary of the DDPA.

This declaration and its programme of action establish a consensus on the fight against racism by promulgating concrete measures to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance at national, regional, and global levels.
