Minister of Islamic Affairs Receives UNESCO Representative to Mauritania

The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Mr. El-Fadil Ould Sidaty Ould Ahmed Louli, received Thursday, in his office in Nouakchott, the representative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to Mauritania, Mr. Tidjane Sall.

The meeting focused on the pillars and objectives of the national strategy for the eradication of illiteracy, as well as ways to strengthen national efforts in the field of literacy and raise the level of basic education, in order to contribute to supporting human development and consolidating the principle of lifelong learning.
