The Food Security Commissioner Receives the Ambassador of Italy

The Food Security Commissioner, Mrs. Fatimettou mint Khatri, received today, Thursday, at her office in Nouakchott, Her Excellency Mrs. Paola Maria Cristina Russo, Ambassador of the Italian Republic accredited to our country.
The discussions addressed the existing cooperation relations between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, particularly in the field of food security and supporting the resilience of vulnerable groups.
Aspects of cooperation between the Commission and Italian cooperation in supporting agricultural production and enhancing the resilience of vulnerable populations were also reviewed, especially programs related to supporting agricultural production and strengthening food security in central and eastern Mauritania.
