The Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mr. Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh, received today, Thursday, at his office in Nouakchott, the French ambassador accredited to Mauritania, H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Besnier, accompanied by the Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Mauritania.
During the meeting, the Minister welcomed the French diplomat and his delegation, praising the ongoing cooperation between Mauritania and France, particularly in the field of agricultural development. The Minister highlighted the fruitful partnership between the Ministry and the AFD, characterizing the agency as a strategic partner for Mauritania.
Furthermore, he expressed the sector’s desire to expand the scope of cooperation to encompass various agricultural production regions throughout the country.
For his part, the French Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation and the priority the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty places on strengthening its partnership with France.
