UNPM President Meets With Indian Ambassador

On 5 February, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Zeine El Abidine Cheikh Ahmed, President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers (UNPM), received H.E. Mr. Neeraj Agrawal, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Mauritania.

Discussions focused on ways to develop and strengthen economic and trade relations, and reviewed the prospects for partnership between Mauritanian private sector actors and their Indian counterparts.

During the meeting, the UNPM President expressed his desire to create a Mauritanian-Indian Business Council and organize a joint economic forum, which aims to provide Indian actors with an opportunity to learn about the great potential available in Mauritania, as well as the incentives and guarantees provided by the Investment Code to encourage investment in Mauritania.
