On 18 November, Mr. Mamoudou Mamadou Niang, Minister of Estates, State Property, and Land Reform, held a working meeting with Dr. Kevin Kariuki, Vice President of the African Development Bank 5QfDB) in charge of Energy, Climate, and Green Growth, on the sidelines of the 30th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) being held in BelEm, Brazil.
The meeting focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between the sector and the African Development Bank, particularly in capacity building, review of legal and regulatory framework, governance, and land reform.
Mr. Kariuki reiterated his institution’s commitment to supporting Mauritania in preparing reliable financing requests, as well as in financing projects aimed at implementing the programs and strategies defined by the government in the area of land governance.
