Interior Minister Discusses With Several EU Ambassadors Ways To Facilitate Schengen Visa Obtention

On 5 November, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, Minister of the Interior, Decentralization, and Local Development, held a meeting with several European Union (EU) ambassadors to Mauritania.

The meeting brought together Mr. Joaquin Tasso Villalonga, Ambassador and Head of the European Union Delegation to Mauritania, Mr. Florian Rendel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Mr. Pablo Barbara Gomez, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Nouakchott.

The meeting focused on relations between Mauritania and the EU and ways to strengthen them. It also resulted in the decision to take all necessary measures to simplify and facilitate the process of obtaining Schengen visas for Mauritanian citizens.
