Mauritania’s Ambassador to Brazil Presents Credentials

On 20 October, in Brasilia, His Excellency Ahmed Mokhtar Bouceif presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Brazil to His Excellency Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

During the ceremony, the ambassador conveyed greetings from His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic, to the Brazilian President. He also expressed wishes for the President’s good health and happiness, as well as hopes from the Mauritanian people for further progress and prosperity.

Mr. Bouceif reaffirmed his commitment to doing everything possible to strengthen cooperation between the two friendly countries and take it to new horizons.

President Lula da Silva instructed the Ambassador to convey his greetings and gratitude to the President of the Republic, praising his efforts in the fight against terrorism and the role Mauritania played in representing the voice of the African continent to the world during his presidency of the African Union.
