President of Republic Participates in High-level Meeting on Financing African Economies

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, attended in Abidjan the launch of a high-level meeting on financing the African economies. The meeting is attended by many heads of state and regional and international organizations.

The World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) convened this meeting to discuss ways to mobilize support to the African economies and overcome the social and economic repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting highlights the importance of an ambitious and robust 20th replenishment of the International Development Association (IDA20) to support a resilient recovery from the COVID-19 crisis and help the continent continue its economic transformation.
