Training and Exchange Center organizes a Training Workshop for The Center for Training and Distance Exchange, affiliated with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Modernization of Administration, in collaboration with Mauritania Channel, organized a training workshop this morning, Monday, at its headquarters in the International Conference Center – Mokhtar Ould Daddah, for the benefit of employees of Mauritanian television, under the title: “Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Journalism and Media.”the Benefit of the Employees of the Mauritanian Channel.
The workshop, in which 23 employees from Mauritania’s Channel are participating, aims to provide the participants with the essential tools and knowledge that enable them to harness and utilize these technologies to enhance their professional performance and create more in-depth and engaging media content.
During the five-day workshop, topics will be presented, including: an introduction to artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence in media, its uses in media, command engineering, as well as the opportunities and challenges it poses to journalism, in addition to its impact on media.
In a speech on this occasion, the Director of the Center for Distance Learning and Exchange, Mr. Mohammed Suleiman Bilal, explained that the center, being an institution concerned with capacity development through training and enabling information and communication technologies, has begun preparing and organizing this workshop as a step within a series of activities aimed at keeping pace with the witnessed digital transformation, and building and developing capacities as a genuine lever for development.
He added that artificial intelligence, with its tools and uses, is no longer a luxury of thought or technology, but has become a reality that asserts itself with merit and brings about fundamental transformations in various fields, pointing out that the media is at the heart of these transformations.
For her part, the General Director of the Mauritanian Channel, Ms. Sinniya Mint Sidi Heiba, confirmed that Mauritanian television has adopted a clear policy for updating various mechanisms and management methods within the organization for some time now, giving special priority to training and investing in human resources, in order to raise the level of efficiency and productivity in various departments and services.
The Director General thanked the Director of the Center for Training and Distance Exchange for organizing this training workshop, emphasizing that it will be a strong beginning to enter the world of artificial intelligence and benefit from its features, which have become essential in the world.
