Regulatory Authority participates in Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-25) in Riyadh

The Regulatory Authority is participating in the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-25), held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 31 August to 3 September 2025.
The delegation is led by Mr. Ahmed Mohamedou, President of the National Regulatory Council, and includes Mr. Cheikh El Tajani Oudaa, Head of the Technical Sector.
On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation held separate meetings with Ms. Dorin Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and Mr. Cosmos Zavazava, Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau.
Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation with the ITU, particularly through capacity-building initiatives in digital regulation. Key topics included technical and regulatory challenges posed by emerging technologies such as 5G services, artificial intelligence, and low-orbit satellite networks.
