Human Rights Commissioner Leaves for Geneva

The Commissioner of Human rights, Humanitarian action and relations with civil society, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, left on Tuesday to Geneva to participate in the works of the 47th session of the Human Rights Council.

During this session, the final documents related to the third round of Mauritania’s Universal Periodic Review will be ratified.

The Commissioner is accompanied by Mr. Harouna Traore, Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Hasny Ould Oufkih, Prime Minister’s advisor, in charge of communication, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould limam, Human rights manager, and Mr. Isselmou Ould Salihi, Manager of communication and training at the commission.
