.Ministers of Defense and Higher Education supervise the Graduation of the Seventh Batch of the Higher Institute of English

The minister of Defense, Affairs of Retired Persons and Children of Martyrs, Hananna Ould Sidi, and the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Yacoub Ould Moyne, on Thursday in Nouakchott, presided over the graduation ceremony of the seventh class of the Higher Institute of English Language in International Communication Studies.

 

 

In a speech on the occasion, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Val Rais Al Rais, said that this graduation is a qualitative addition to the national competencies, equipped with the tools of communication, openness and knowledge, given the status of the English language and its leadership at the global level, in addition to being a concrete contribution of the military institution to the human resources development efforts.

He added that the graduation of this new batch of international communication studies from the Higher Institute of English Language is an event that embodies the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to lay the foundations of a higher education system that meets the needs of the national market and is in line with the country’s aspirations to localize knowledge and keep pace with developments in various fields of science.

He emphasized that this graduation is the culmination of a long academic career, the result of years of efforts by the institute’s staff, but it is a beginning that requires redoubling efforts, a spirit of initiative and a willingness to serve the country with efficiency and pride.

 

 

For his part, Colonel Abdel Rahman Ould Sidi Bademel, Commander of the Higher Institute of English Language, welcomed all the guests present at the Higher Institute of English Language to celebrate the graduation of the seventh batch of bachelor’s students in the field of international communication studies, adding that this ceremony is the culmination of years of hard work and diligence, giving and perseverance, for academic excellence and sc

He explained that the graduation of this batch today is in line with the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazwani, to build a modern educational system based on quality and innovation, capable of preparing highly qualified national competencies, noting that His Excellency paid great attention to the development of higher education and focused on linking it to the labor market, and stressed on several occasions the need to empower youth with the tools of the age, especially the English language as a bridge to cross knowledge and openness to the world.ientific qualification.

He pointed out that under this orientation, the Higher Institute of English Language has established itself as a leading institution in university training. Since its inception, it has worked to train qualified students capable of meeting the requirements of the labor market by honing their academic and professional skills. This training path has contributed to the emergence of the Institute’s graduates as preferred candidates for many international organizations operating in the country, as well as for national administrations and institutions, with many of them topping the lists of winners of international scholarships for the country, noting that these successes clearly reflect the quality of training and the effectiveness of the competency-based curriculum and competencies.

He explained that these efforts are part of the Institute’s strategic plan to ensure the quality of education, align training with the needs of the labor market, and raise the level of academic performance. In this context, modern tools and techniques have been adopted to control attendance, facilitate follow-up, and promote discipline, accuracy in performance and scientific honesty. A number of the Institute’s professors have also benefited from advanced training, according to which they obtained official accreditation to organize the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) exams. A memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Military Academy in Atar to develop the English language program and train its supervising professors

Mr. Talib Bilal, the director of classes at the institute, explained that this moment is not only a moment of success, but also a pride in the heads of a distinguished group of professors and a rational administration that made every effort to train them and provide them with science and knowledge, which will enable them to contribute effectively to development and progress.

The spokesperson for the graduates, Mr. Ibrahim Doms, stressed that this graduation is the end of a wonderful journey and the beginning of a new journey full of confidence and knowledge thanks to the Higher Institute of English Language, through which they were able to acquire communication and information technology skills, knowledge in various disciplines and confidence that communication is a bridge between cultures that can be utilized to achieve great results.

The graduation ceremony took place in the presence of the Governor of Nouakchott West, the Vice President of the Nouakchott Region and a number of military and security leaders.
