Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Diay met on Tuesday in Nouakchott with the National Federation of Fishermen, in the presence of the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mr. Mohamed Zeine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
The Prime Minister said that the meeting follows the meeting with the office of the General Confederation of Employers, where H.E. President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, instructed him to meet them and listen to their concerns and their vision to solve them.
After opening the floor to the members of the Federation, the attendees discussed in detail the obstacles they face.
In his response, the Prime Minister outlined in detail the major issues that represent the main obstacles to the proper development of the sector.
The Prime Minister ordered the Minister of Fisheries to consult with the National Fisheries Federation on the best ways to interact with the obstacles that can be solved in the short and medium term, until the structural issues of the sector are overcome, in accordance with the instructions of His Excellency the President of the Republic to support the national private sector
