Training Course on Gender and Reproductive Health concludes

A training course organized in partnership between the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) (Mauritania office) concluded on Wednesday evening in Tikent, Trarza governorate.

Mr. Mohamed Mokhtar Ould Mohamed El-Amin, Director of Relations with Parliament and representative of the culture sector in UNFPA programs, and Mr. Haidara, Assistant Director of the UNFPA Mauritania office, supervised the conclusion of the course.

The course, organized under the guidance of the. Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament, Mr. El Houcine Ould Madou, aims to strengthen the capacities of the participants on population issues, especially gender and women’s reproductive health in Mauritania.

In his speech, Ould Mohamed El-Amin conveyed a message from the Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication and Relations with Parliament to the participants, in which he expressed his appreciation for the role of the media in addressing population issues, considering that the organization of this course is evidence of his interest in this particular field.

He also expressed his gratitude to the course participants for the professional level they demonstrated during the training period, through the practical work carried out.

Participants in the course received theoretical presentations and completed practical work on various issues related to population, women and gender.
