President of Republic Thanks Leaders for support of Mauritania’s candidate to African Development Bank

H.E. the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries for their confidence and decisive support in the election of Mauritania’s candidate for the presidency of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

This came in His Excellency’s tweet on the X platform on Thursday evening:

“Thank you to the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries for their confidence and decisive support in the election of Mauritania’s candidate for the presidency of the African Development Bank. The remarkable competence of the different candidates made this election a source of pride for the African continent.

I wish Dr. Sidi Ould Tah success and hope that he will be up to the challenges and aspirations of the African peoples to promote cooperation, unity, and comprehensive and sustainable development that responds to the hope of the founding fathers as translated by Africa’s Agenda 2063”.
