President of Republic Receives RSF Director General

On 27 May, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, The President of the Republic, received Mr. Thibaut Bruttin, the Director General of Reporters Without Borders (RSF).

The meeting focused on the Organization’s relations with Mauritania and its development in the field of freedoms, having ranked first in press freedom in the Arab world, according to the latest report published by “Reporters Without Borders”, which bears witness to the efforts made by the government to professionalize the media and enable them to carry out their work in a climate of freedom and professionalism.
