Mauritanian Delegation to Spring Meetings meets IMF Assistant Managing Director

The Mauritanian delegation participating in the Spring Meetings of International Financial Institutions (World Bank and International Monetary Fund), headed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, SidAhmed Ould Bouh, and the membership of the Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Lemine Ould Dhehbi, held a meeting with the Assistant Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Mr. Kanji Ou Kamura, on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund held in Washington, D.C.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Mauritania and the International Monetary Fund, especially in the areas of economic and financial reforms, improving the investment climate and enhancing fiscal transparency.

The two sides also discussed the importance of continuing to implement the financial and economic reforms implemented by our country aimed at achieving inclusive and sustainable growth, and the need to intensify the technical and financial support provided by the Fund in this context.

It is noteworthy that this meeting comes within the activities of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, which is an important platform to discuss global economic and financial issues, and enhance cooperation between countries and international financial institutions
