Association of the Saudi Institute in Mauritania organizes a Ramadan Iftar Ceremony and Dinner

On Sunday evening in Nouakchott, the Association of the Saudi Institute in Mauritania organized an Iftar party with a Ramadan dinner in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to our country, Dr. Abdelaziz bin Abdullah Al-Raqiqi, and the Honorary President of the Association, Imam of the Jameh Mosque, Ahmedou Ould Lamrabet Habib Al-Rahman.
This Ramadan revival is part of the Saudi Institute Association in Mauritania’s efforts to strengthen scientific relations, build bridges of cultural and civilizational cooperation between Mauritania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and spread the values of brotherhood and cooperation.
In his remarks on the occasion, Saudi Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Ruqai expressed his pleasure in attending this Ramadan Iftar with a group of Saudi Institute graduates, and his pride in the high positions held by the Institute’s graduates at the national level.
He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have distinguished and well-established historical relations, adding that these relations are witnessing steady development and growth at all levels, under the wise leadership of His Excellency President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The ambassador announced the imminent reopening of the Saudi Institute in Mauritania, emphasizing the role of this cultural and scientific beacon in strengthening fraternal relations between the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, Mr. Hamdi Ould Hamadi, Chairman of the Mauritanian-Saudi Friendship Parliamentary Group, thanked the Saudi Institute Association for inviting him to attend this ceremony, noting the efforts made to reopen the Saudi Institute in Mauritania.
He praised the vital role played by Saudi Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Raqabi to promote and enhance fraternal relations between Mauritania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For his part, Mr. Mohamed Ould El Hassan, President of the Association of the Saudi Institute in Mauritania, said that the Institute has remained a pioneering educational model for the study of Islamic and Arabic sciences from its pure sources with moderation and tact, away from extremism and fundamentalism, adding that the Association seeks to reopen this scientific edifice and restore its scientific and educational role that it used to play.
He expressed his thanks to the Saudi Ambassador for the interest and endeavor to achieve the objectives of the Association, to promote civilizational and scientific relations between the two brotherly countries.
During the ceremony, Imam Ahmedou Ould Lamrabet Habib Al-Rahman gave a lecture on the virtues and rulings of fasting, in addition to poetic interventions.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Saudi Institute professors, scientific figures and members of the association.
