Defense Minister pays Official Visit to Czech Republic, participates in Munich Conference and attends Gambia’s Independence Commemorations

The Minister of Defense, Retired Persons and Martyrs’ Children Affairs, Mr. Hanena Ould Sidi, left Nouakchott last night for the Czech Republic.

 

From February 11 to 13, the Minister will pay an official visit to the Czech Republic at the invitation of his Czech counterpart.

 

From February 14 to 16, the Minister will participate in the Munich Security Conference in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The forum will provide an opportunity for strategic exchanges and explore possibilities for finding and promoting solutions to many of the pressing international security challenges currently facing the world.

At the invitation of his counterpart, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Serign Modou Njie, the Minister of Defense, Retired Affairs and Children of Martyrs will attend the events marking the 60th anniversary of the National Independence Day of the Republic of The Gambia on February 18 in Banjul.
