Exchange Workshop on the Implementation of the law Establishing the Specialized court for the Crimes of Slavery, Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants

The workshop, organized by the Ministry of Justice, aims to disseminate and popularize the relevant legal texts, activate the work of the court’s bodies, clarify the relations and tasks of the various actors and activate coordination between them, speed up procedures and efficiency of punishment, and enhance the capacities of judicial actors.
During the two-day workshop, presentations will be made on the court and national and international laws related to the crimes of slavery, trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants.
In a speech on the occasion, the Advisor in charge of cooperation, Secretary General of the Agency, Oumar Ould El ghassem, stressed that our country has been able to enact a legal arsenal to effectively combat crime, and organized crime in particular, in addition to providing all modern investigation techniques that the world has developed as the most effective means of fighting crime.
He added that crimes have become a complex and destabilizing issue in many countries, which requires all bodies, especially the judiciary, to make great efforts to fight these crimes in order to protect the nation and ensure social peace
