Minister of Economy and Finance and Governor of the Central Bank hold talks with the President of the Islamic Development Bank

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh, held talks on Sunday, accompanied by the Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Lemine Ould Dhehby, on the sidelines of the consultative forum of the Governors of the Islamic Development Bank Group, held in Al-Medina, Saudi Arabia, talks with the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Dr. Mohammed bin Salman Al-Jasser.
This meeting was devoted to discussing the various files of cooperation and partnership between the two parties.
The two sides reviewed ways to enhance and develop the development support provided by the Islamic Development Bank Group to our country through the various assistance mechanisms provided by the Group to member countries, which include trade financing and combating poverty.
Last May, our country signed the launch document of the Cooperation Framework (2024-2026) with the Islamic Development Bank.
This three-year framework includes continuing to support our country’s economic and social development efforts by accelerating economic growth by financing energy transitions, agriculture, water and transport infrastructure, and promoting human capital development and social inclusion through improved education, vocational training and healthcare.
The cost of financing projects emanating from this framework is one billion US dollars.
