Mauritania participates in the Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Economic and Social Councils

The Economic, Social and Environmental Council participated, on Monday, via video conference, in the work of the Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Economic and Social Councils and similar bodies.

The Council was represented in this meeting by the Vice-President of the Council, Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Siam, where the participants discussed a number of issues of common interest, with a focus on editing the final version of the Charter of the Union, which aims to enhance economic and social integration among Arab countries and keep pace with the environmental and development challenges facing our countries.

During his intervention, the representative of Mauritania affirmed Mauritania’s commitment to activating Arab cooperation in the economic, social and environmental fields, noting the importance of the new charter in supporting the exchange of experiences and expertise among member bodies to support sustainable development in the Arab countries.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Union’s continuous efforts to enhance dialogue and coordination between the Arab economic and social councils, thus contributing to the comprehensive and sustainable development of member states.
