National Committee for Education, Culture and Science and the Union of Writers organize a Celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language

Nouakchott

The National Commission for Education, Culture and Science organised Wednesday in Nouakchott, in cooperation with the Union of Mauritanian Writers and Writers, a celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language under the title “Arabic is the language of identity and radiation”.

During the ceremony, a documentary film was screened showing the status of the Arabic language and its progress in the ranks of the world’s languages.

In a speech on the occasion, the Secretary-General of the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, Mohamed Sid Abdallah, said that everyone should serve the Arabic tongue to protect the considerations set by the texts and preserved in the constitutions, by supporting the official authorities in directing them to implement the texts related to the use of the Arabic language and calling on private authorities to turn to this option, which was ratified by the Mauritanian people and confirmed in their constitution.

He pointed out that the Arabic language dazzled researchers who examined its structure, elegance of words and eloquence of its methods, which made the circle of its use go beyond the geographical boundaries of the Arabic language to fields that realized that it is an eternal language.

For his part, the head of the Union of Mauritanian Writers and Writers, Mr. Khalil Al-Nahwi, said that the Union began celebrating the International Day of the Arabic Language over a week, but did not fulfill the status of the language, as it was extended to thirty days, starting from the anniversary of the National Independence Day through the International Day of the Arabic Language, in appreciation and appreciation of its role as a language of the era.

He added that the world today celebrates the 51st anniversary of the adoption of the Arabic language by the United Nations as a global language across continents and borders, as it is a language of science and giving that cannot be dispensed with.

For reference, the International Day of the Arabic Language is celebrated on the eighteenth of December of each year as a universal language used by many countries and governments as an official language, due to the specificity of its vocal rhythm, the tightness of its words, the pleasure of its methods, the eloquence of its meanings and the geometry of its letters, which made it the forefront of other languages of the world despite the challenges it faces.
