Minister of Economy and Finance participates in the Opening of the African Finance Summit

The Minister of Economy and Finance Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh participated in the opening of the African Finance Summit (AFIS-2024) in Casablanca, Morocco on Monday.
This year’s summit addresses five key priorities to promote the necessary economic transformations, namely the creation of banking products and capital market solutions to channel domestic resources into productive investments
to stimulate growth and development, facilitate the interoperability of performance systems, reduce the cost and time of cross-border transactions, allow for the development of intra-African trade, strengthen the capital requirements of financial institutions, promote industry and encourage partnerships with international financial centers.

Launched by Jeune Afrique Media Group and supported by the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), more than 1,000 African financial sector leaders and policymakers will participate in the summit
More than 30 high-level panel discussions and roundtables will focus on the structural reforms needed to strengthen the sector’s resilience and remove obstacles to financing the continent’s economies at a time of regional and international turmoil.
