President of the National Human Rights Committee praises the Fruitful Partnership Between the Committee and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights

The Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee, Mr. Ahmed Salem Ould Bouhoubeini, met on Wednesday on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, with Mr. Laurent Miouh, who served as the representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Mauritania from 2019 to 2024.

During the meeting, the President of the National Human Rights Committee praised the fruitful partnership between the Committee and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, which is a key partner in supporting the efforts made by the Committee in the areas of providing advice, technical advice, awareness and investigation on slavery issues in Mauritania, which contributed to promoting human rights in the country and highlighting the efforts made to overcome challenges.
