Minister of Economy discusses Bilateral Co-operation with French Ambassador

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, received on Tuesday at his office, HE the French Ambassador accredited to our country, Mr Alexandre Garcia.
The meeting was devoted to discussing various aspects of cooperation and partnership between our country and the French Republic, and ways of enhancing and developing this cooperation.
During the meeting, they discussed the level of implementation of the portfolio of projects and programmes funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and mechanisms to improve and accelerate this implementation.
The two sides also discussed ways to promote the promotion of the private sector and attract investments by French companies.
The meeting was attended by the Advisor in charge of the private sector, Fatma Mint Horma, the Director General of Finance and Cooperation at the Ministry, Mohamed Salem Nani, the Director of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mauritania, Aissata Lam, and the new Director of the French Development Agency in Mauritania, Ignace Monkam.
