Economy Minister receives UNFPA Regional Director

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, received on Tuesday morning at his office the Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for Central and West Africa, Mr. Sennen Hounton, accompanied by an important UNFPA delegation, including the UNFPA Resident Representative, Ms. Olga Sankara.
During the meeting, they discussed various aspects of cooperation between our country and UNFPA, especially with regard to the level of implementation of the ninth country programme implemented by UNFPA in Mauritania over a four-year period 2024-2027.
The Regional Director praised the support provided by Mauritania to IFAD and the successful completion of the general population census recently carried out by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
