Minister of Fisheries holds Working Session with World Bank Delegation

The Minister of Fisheries, Maritime Infrastructure and Port, El Vadil OULD Sidaty  Ould Ahmed Louly , held a working session with a delegation from the World Bank, currently visiting the country, led by Mr Ousmane Diagana, Vice President of the World Bank for West and Central Africa, and the Vice President of the International Finance Association in Africa, Mr Sergio Pimenta.

The meeting centred on the cooperation relations between Mauritania and the World Bank and the future prospects of this cooperation, especially in the fields of fishing and maritime and port infrastructure.

During the same meeting, it was agreed that the World Bank Group will send experts to our country to study priorities with Mauritanian experts in areas related to fishing, maritime and port infrastructure and design projects to develop these sectors.

The meeting was an opportunity for the WBG delegation to listen to the development and strategic orientations of the Mauritanian government in the field of fishing, maritime and port infrastructure, as well as the WBG’s unified approach to supporting economic and social growth in Mauritania.
