Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh: Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty

born in 1972 in Tidjikja district, Tagant Province
Merried, father of six children
He completed his primary and middle school education in Aioun, his secondary education in Kiffa and his university studies in Nouakchott, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He furthered his studies in Tunisia, obtaining an advanced diploma from the National School of Administration, specializing in Public Programming and Audit.
Until his appointment as Minister of Economy and Finance, he worked as an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic:
He began his career in 2000 as an administrative officer in the financial department at the Ministry of Finance, then as Head of the Procurement and Investment Expenditure Service at the Budget Directorate, and later as Deputy Inspector General at the General State Inspectorate.
– Economist at the World Bank
– General Director of Development for Nouadhibou Free Zone.
– Executive Director of the Biodiversity Trust Fund.
– Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance, responsible for promoting the private sector.
– President of the Technical Committee for Public-Private Partnerships
– Director of the Institutional Services Division at the Maghreb Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade (BMICE) based in Tunis.
In his role at the Presidency of the Republic, he served as the General Coordinator of the unit responsible for monitoring the implementation of strategic priorities and was African Union AU Presidency Delegate to the G20.
On 6 August, 2024 he was appointed Minister of Economy and Finance.

on 18 september 2025, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty
