On 8 July, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received some European diplomats accredited in Mauritania.

The meeting made it possible to examine the different areas of cooperation between Mauritania and these countries and organizations, the means of strengthening and developing them, and issues of common interest.

The meeting included Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ms. Isabel Henin, the Kingdom of Spain, Ms. Miriam Alvarez de la Rosa, the European Union, Mr. Gwilym Jones, the French Republic, Mr. Alexander Garcia, and the Republic of Italy, Ms. Laura Botta.
