Presidential Elections 2024: International Observers Welcome the Organization of Transparent and Peaceful Election

Three observer teams from the African Union (AU), the Community of Sahelo-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) and the Francophone organization announced at a joint press conference held on Monday at the Mauricenter Hotel that the June 29, 2024 ballot was conducted in a peaceful and transparent atmosphere, according to the head of the AU mission, Domitien Ndayizeye, former president of Burundi.
The head of the AU mission, former President of Burundi, said in his speech that the elections took place in a peaceful socio-political environment, with no incidents observed throughout the country.
He added that his mission, comprising 27 observers, visited 242 polling stations in: Assaba, Dakhlet Nouadhibou, Gorgol, Gedimaga, Hodh charghi, Hodh Garbi, the three Nouakchott wilayas and Trarza.
