President of Republic, AU Chairman, Arrives in N’Djamena To Attend Chadian President-Elect’s Swearing-In Ceremony
On 22 May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union, arrived in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Chadian President-elect, Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno.
The President of the Republic was welcomed upon his arrival at N’Djamena airport by Mr. Mohamed Saleh Elnadif, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, International Cooperation, and Chadians Abroad, and our Ambassador in N’Djamena, HE Mr. Sidaty Cheikh Ahmed Aicha.
Several Chadian military formations presented a salute of honor to His Excellency the President of the Republic at N’Djamena airport and the Mauritanian and Chadian national anthems were played to celebrate his arrival.
The President of the Republic shook the hands of the Chadian dignitaries who came to welcome him.
Outside the airport, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani was greeted by members of the Mauritanian community, who came to welcome him brandishing flags and banners.
The President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation including.:
– Mr. Mokhtar Ould Djay, the Minister in Charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic;
– Mr. Sidaty Ould Cheikh Ahmed Aicha, the Ambassador of Mauritania to Chad;
– Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould Ghaber, n Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic;
– Mr. Houssein Ould Naji, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;
– Ms. Aïssata Daouda Diallo, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;
– Mr. El Hassan Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
