President of Republic Receives Phone Call From Venezuelan Counterpart

On 9 April, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received a telephone call from His Excellency Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela.

During the telephone conversation, the Venezuelan President congratulated the President of the Republic for his presidency of the African Union, expressing his wish to see the AU participate in the observation of the next Venezuelan elections, something that the President of the Republic promised to work toward its realization.

The two men discussed the exemplary bilateral relations between the two countries, appreciating the regular consultation and coordination at all levels, particularly on issues of common interest.

Finally, the two leaders discussed cooperative relations between the two countries and ways likely to develop them.
