Mauritanian Representative to the League of Arab States: Calls on the International Community to Stop the Israeli war of Genocide Against the Palestinian People

Cairo

The Permanent Representative of Mauritania to the League of Arab States, H.E. Mr. El Houcine Ould Deh, stressed that despite the fact that the war waged by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people is about to enter its seventh month, the aggression continues at the same pace as the indiscriminate killing of unarmed civilians, including children, women and the elderly, as well as starvation and the perpetration of massacres.

He added during Mauritania’s chairmanship of an extraordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent representatives, on Wednesday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, dedicated to discussing the Arab and international move to stop the crime of genocide and the policy of starvation and displacement, as well as discussing Arab and international action within the framework of a political solution to the Palestinian issue, that all the atrocities of dirty wars throughout history did not target hospitals, schools, shelters and unarmed civilians, as is happening now in the war of extermination waged by Israel.

He said that the situation has reached an intolerable level of disregard for all humanitarian values and principles, without regard to international resolutions, including the recent Security Council resolution on March 25, 2024 and the measures issued by the International Court of Justice, in flagrant defiance of the will of the international community.

He called for redoubling and unifying efforts to put the international community before its moral and legal responsibilities, in order to immediately and without delay stop the war in occupied Palestine, provide food, medicine and all the requirements of human life for the displaced, return the displaced to their homes, oblige Israel to stop its crimes against the Palestinian people, open the way for a sustainable political solution that guarantees the Palestinian people all their legitimate rights, recognize without delay the independent Palestinian state on the borders of the fourth of June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and accept Palestine as a full member state.
